Family Name: Fabaceae (Leguminosae) - Pea or Bean Family

Identification Notes:

life cycle - summer or winter annual, reproducing by seed

stems - upright, freely branching, pubescent growth habit

leaves - alternate, trifoliate, dense silky hairs; leaflets from same point, linear to oblanceolate

flowers - pink to pale purple; heads oval to cylindrical, grayish-pink, fuzzy, rabbitfoot-like flower heads 1, flower heads 2
