Common Name: tansy ragwort, stinking willie
Scientific Name: Senecio jacobaea L.

Identification Notes:

life cycle - biennial or short-lived perennial, reproducing by seed

stems - second year stems, upright or slightly spreading, groups of stem from crown, usually unbranched, pubescent growth habit 1, growth habit 2

leaves - alternate, deeply cut lobes, pinnate, sessile, toothed, dark green above, whitish below

flowers - heads of about 13 pale yellow ray (ligulate) surrounding darker, yellow disc (tubulate) florets; terminal clusters; seed with white pappus flowers
