Identification Notes:

life cycle – perennial, reproducing by seed

stems – upright, branching, multiply from base, hairy, hollow growth habit

leaves – alternate, round to kidney-shaped in outline, palmately lobed (3)5-7, lobes sessile and further divided into narrow lobes, long petioles, upper leaves less divided – often 3 and short stalked or sessile, soft hairs above and below leaves 1, leaves 2, leaves 3

flowers – 5-petaled, golden yellow and glossy, petals overlapping, sepals spreading, long stalked; clusters terminal and axillary above flowers, flower sepals
