Identification Notes:

life cycle - perennial, reproducing by seed and stolons

stems - prostrate, branched, hairy, usually red, rooting at nodes growth habit

leaves - alternate, palmate compound, 5 to 7 leaflets; leaflets oblanceolate to obovate, toothed, whitish below leaves 1, leaves 2

flowers - 5-petaled, yellow, petals notched, long stalked; solitary, axillary flowers
