Identification Notes:

life cycle - annual, winter annual, or biennial, reproducing by seed

stems - upright or sometimes spreading, rough haired growth habit

leaves - alternate, compound, palmate, petioled (longer above, shorter above), 3 leaflets; leaflets obovate to oblanceolate, coarsely toothed, hairy above and below leaves

flowers - 5-petaled, yellow, petals shorter than sepals; clusters, terminal flowers
