Identification Notes:

life cycle - introduced annual, reproducing by seed

stems - prostrate, bluish-green, mat forming, not rooting at nodes, nodes swollen, ocrea (papery or membranous sheath) present at nodes growth habit 1, growth habit 2, growth habit 3, growth habit 4, seedlings 1, seedlings 2, seedlings 3

leaves - alternate, oblong to linear, bluish-green, bases narrow, short petioles habit

flowers - pale green or white with pink tips, small, petals absent, sepals 5; axillary clusters
