Identification Notes:

life cycle - annual, reproducing by seed

stems - upright, branched or unbranched, four-sided, translucent growth habit 1, growth habit 2, stems

leaves - opposite, ovate, margins coarsely toothed, tips taper to point, long petioles leaves 1, leaves 2

flowers - greenish-white, very small; axillary clusters, somewhat drooping
