Identification Notes:

life cycle - perennial, spreading by seed and rhizomes

stem - tall, smooth, branched above growth habit

leaves - opposite, ovate to sometimes heart-shaped, square base, sharp-pointed, toothed margins, long petioles

flowers - heads of white disk (tubulate) florets, small; terminal flat-topped clusters flower clusters
