Scientific Name: Digitaria sanguinalis (L.) Scop.

Identification Notes:

life cycle - annual, reproducing by seed

culms - prostrate or ascending, branching, smooth, rooting at nodes growth habit 1, growth habit 2, growth habit 3, growth habit 4

leaves - blades hairy above and below, reddish with age, rolled in bud; ligule membranous, toothed, white; sheaths flattened, hairy seedlings 1, seedlings 2, sheath

seedheads - terminal racemes, 4 to 10 finger-like, from near central point, spikelet in two rows
