Identification Notes:

life cycle - biennial, reproducing by seed

stems - second year, reproductive, upright, hollow, hairy, branched above growth habit 1, growth habit 2, growth habit 3, growth habit 4

leaves - finely pinnately compound, long petioles, rosette; alternate on flowering stems leaves

flowers - 5-petaled, white; clustered in flat-topped terminal umbels; single purple flower in umbel center, umbel usually curls when mature flower heads 1, flower heads 2, mature flower heads, single purple flower, seeds 1, seeds 2
