Identification Notes:

life cycle - introduced annual, reproducing by seed

stems - smooth, hollow, tall, branched growth habit 1, growth habit 2, growth habit 3, seedling 1, seedling 2, seedling 3, seedling 4, seedling 5, seedling 6

leaves - alternate, smooth, large, ovate, long petioles, irregularly toothed margins leaves leaves 1, leaves 2, leaves 3

flowers - 5-petaled, white to light purple, large, petal fuse to form funnel or trumpet, fused sepals cover lower flower; solitary in branch axils flower 1, flower 2, flower 3, seedpods 1, seedpods 2, mature seedpods

seedpods - egg-shaped, sharp spines

other - rank scent when bruised or crushed
