stems - smooth, yellow to orange, twisting, branched stems, no chlorophyll, roots on seedlings only, haustoria attach to host plant stems growth habit 1, growth habit 2, growth habit 3, growth habit 4, growth habit 5, growth habit 6

leaves - no leaves, small unnoticeable scales present

flowers - white, small; clustered flowers 1, flowers 2
