syn. Cerastium fontanum Baumg.
Family Name: Caryophyllaceae - Pink Family

Identification Notes:

life cycle - introduced perennial, reproducing by seed and creeping stems

stems - hairy, rooting at the nodes, mat forming growth habit 1, growth habit 2

leaves - opposite, oval, dark green, very hairy, sessile leaves

flowers - 5-petaled, white, petals notched deeply (may appear to be 10), sepal hairs not extending past tips; terminal clusters flowers 1, flowers 2
