Identification Notes:

life cycle - winter annual or biennial (sometimes perennial), reproducing by seed

stems - upright, smooth, ridged, from crown, branching above growth habit 1, growth habit 2, growth habit 3

leaves - alternate, margins wavy, shiny, pinnately divided, 1-5 pair(s) of lateral lobes and large terminal lobe, form dense rosette; stem leaves small, less lobed leaves

flowers - 4-petaled, bright yellow; terminal racemes flowers

seedpods - silique, short-stalked, upright, almost square, small "beak" at tip seedpods 1, seedpods 2
