Identification Notes:

life cycle - native perennial, reproducing by seed and rootstocks

stems - upright, smooth, tall, branched, become "woody" growth habit 1, growth habit 2, growth habit 3, stems

leaves - opposite, ovate to lance-shaped, entire leaves 1, leaves 2, leaves 3

flowers - 5-petaled, greenish-white flowers 1, flowers 2, flowers 3

seedpods- long, slender; silky hairs attached to seed seedpods

other - contains milky sap
