Identification Notes:

life cycle - perennial, reproducing by seed and rootstocks

stems - upright, smooth, tall, branched, become "woody" growth habit

leaves - opposite, ovate to lance-shaped, entire leaves 1, leaves 2

flowers - 5-petaled, greenish-white flowers 1, flowers 2

seedpods- long, slender; silky hairs attached to seed seedpods

other - contains milky sap
