Identification Notes:

life cycle - perennial, reproducing by seed, basal branches and stolons

stems - spreading, prostrate slender, reproductive upright growth habit 1, growth habit 2, growth habit 3, growth habit 4

leaves - silvery, silky, wooly, small rosette, form dense mat leaves 1, leaves 2

flowers - heads of disk (tubulate) florets intermixed with hairs, plants male (pink heads) or female (white heads), resembling the toes of a cat; stalked clusters flower heads 1, flower heads 2
