Scientific Name: Ampelopsis brevipedunculata (Maxim.) Trautv.
Family Name: Vitaceae - Grape Family

Identification Notes:

life cycle – perennial, reproducing by seed, and vegetatively by stems and roots segments

stems – woody vine, deciduous, tendrils opposite the leaves, tall, pubescent when young

leaves – alternate, 3-lobed to sometimes 5-lobed, slight lobed to deeply dissected, toothed, leaf bases heart-shaped, undersides hairy, petioles pubescent, dark green

flowers – greenish-white; clustered, clusters opposite leaves leaves

fruits – berry, clustered, round, hard, yellow or green or lilac becoming “robin-egg” to sky blue, often spotted
