Identification Notes:

life cycle - perennial, reproducing by seed and creeping stolons

culms -erect from prostrate and low growing growth habit, winter habit, stem hat-racking

leaves - blades light green, thin, tips pointed, veins above prominent, rolled in the bud; auricles absent; ligule membranous, thin, tall, pointed, finely toothed or rounded leaves

seedheads - open panicle, green or pale purplish
